This is a great and reasonably priced product that has stopped my cat stamping on me every morning to get me up to feed her! Both items easy to assemble with UK plugs and USB wires, easy to set up with a feeding schedule and I would recommend to anybody looking for something similar
I've had a few of the water fountains and feeders over the years so I've got quite a lot of experience of them. I've only had this one for about week so will update the review as it gets more use, but so far impressed.The water fountain first - good capacity, nice bright LED compared to my others so you can see the water level easily, quiet flow. With all these the filtration is the most important and it is a pity you only get one filter with it as it requires changing every two weeks (and the carbon filter every four months), but this is less of an issue for me as I tend to use very cheap aquarium floss rather than expensive filters. The key is to rinse the water fountains out weekly to reduce biofilm, and every two or three weeks or so they get a proper scrub, the internal components are soaked in a bleach solution for a few hours, and for the non-electric components they go through the dishwasher (ABS tends to be dishwasher safe, but you do have to be careful there as I have had to amend the filter compartments of more than one with a screw to open and close them as they can warp in the dishwasher). Using cheap aquarium floss means that you can change the filters more regularly than you may be willing to do otherwise. However, if you aren't willing to take the time to keep them clean you will end up with mould and this is not obvious until there is a significant amount which is obviously not good for your cat. This is why I have multiple, so I can rotate and clean them thoroughly.The feeder I found a little fiddly to set up but I like the dual power source and it does dispense smoothly. The voice recording is a bit of a gimmick (does your cat need a reminder for food? Mine don't!) and the dispensing sound is enough to attract attention. I like the idea of having dessicators to keep the food dry but don't know how important this is in practice, we shall see.In short, a good package deal. My only regret is that I bought them before Amazon dropped the price by 20% for their spring deal, but that's just a bit of bad luck on my part.
We purchased this for a new kitten and it has been a absolute life saver. The design is robust and it was easy to set up, the cat loved it straight away and he runs for it each time the despenser releases the dry food. The Compartments hold pleenty of dry food and the whole thing is works very well. The water fountain is again very good and once the kitten got used to getting his whiskers wet he was fine drinking from the fountain bowl. Again easy to set up and maintain even in the warmer weather. make sure you get spare filters and spounge when undertaking regular cleaning of the unit. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Absolutely brilliant, so easy to assemble and setup, great quality. Most importantly my cat now drinks more frequently and this gives me peace of mind of regular meals when out at work for long days.
Great product. The feeder has 6 times to set food from a range to 1 to 3 in terms of quantity. There is an option to record a voice message for the cat to know is time to feed but that is not necessary my cat recognise the sound of the food being delivered and run to it like crazy. I must say this is good also in terms of providing regular feeding as I think my cat knows roughly when the next " food delivery " is coming as often she goes there just before it delivers food. It helps in this sense feeding her regularly even if you are busy or loose track of time during the day.My cat is still scared of the water fountain for some reasons but I have to say it's super quiet, easy to assable and works amazing. Great product and cheaper than in pet shops.
